  1. Welcome new member Susan Spieker, who says, My husband Samuel (not a WH member at this time) and I raised our children in Mt Baker, where we’ve lived for 40 years. I am retired from UW but still involved in UW research projects related to infant and early childhood mental health. I love bike riding and hiking and am learning quilting and other fiber arts. Our new Member Directory is still in preparation, but you can reach Susan at spiekersj@gmail.com

2.       Join us at Postcarding Tuesday, January 30 at 10:30 am, Oxbow Bakery,
2307 24th Ave East. We’ll be writing to California before
their primary at the end of February. Fragrance free please.

3.       The Healthy Aging Zoom workshop will be on Wednesday, January 31st at
4:30 pm
. The topic is “What’s with my stomach and my gut?
Concerns from one end to the other of our gastrointestinal tract. The link

5.      Fiber Art Enthusiasts – Tuesday, February 6,
10:30-noon
, in-person at Fred Lind Manor/Capitol Hill. All levels
welcome to join us as we work on personal projects and/or keep insecurely
housed little ones “Warm For Winter” with handmade hats and blankets.
Drop in visitors encouraged. Yarn available for charity projects. Joan
