        5. Storytelling is this Thursday, March 21 , at 4 pm on Zoom http://tinyurl.com/5dfycwv6 Bill Van Pelt will have a tale and Dick Zerbe, a short romance. But I desperately need two more storytellers! Expect a phone call…better yet, call me! And if you’ve volunteered already, and I’ve lost that in the fog of moving, let me know.
        6. From Ann Lawrence: We have enjoyed the daffodils, now let’s look for more springtime flowers during March. This time, Eleanor Dills and Ann would like WH folks to take time to admire the famous Cherry Blossoms along 21st Avenue East. Our suggestion is to come to Eleanor Dills’ home at 919 21st Ave. E on Capitol Hill at 1:00 pm on Friday, March 22nd.  We will spend some time enjoying a walk up and down that street; then those who would like to can carpool down to Seward Park for a further look at the Cherry Blossoms along Lake Washington Blvd.  Doesn’t this sound like a perfect thing to do during these beautiful spring days? See the lovely photo Ann sent (attached).

        This Week’s Promotions

        • Nancy Hooyman’s talk on justice for caregivers this Sunday at 3 pm…a rare opportunity to hear our President, a nationally known gerontologist, speak about one of her favorite topics. As Liz Ohlson said to me yesterday: This is an issue we may all need to face—sooner rather than later. I want to hear Nancy’s thoughts so I can prepare myself and I think other Wider Horizons’ members would also benefit greatly. Plus Vicky Downs is one of our special hostesses and enjoys entertaining at her beautiful Capitol Hill condo. We’re serving coffee, tea, cookies. Call or email me if you want to register and I’ll give you more info. The flyer is attached.
        • John Easley is a handyman who charges amazingly low rates, is dependable, and does excellent work. He installed shelves at my new apartment last week and will return to do some other important tasks. Susan Jamison and Jannie & David Spain are other enthusiastic customers. You can contact him at (206) 602-0088.
        • Asa Kowals-Rose is an amazing gardener/landscaper. He has done work at Margaret Fisher’s home. Reliable, efficient, reasonable prices. You can contact him at (206) 240-4453.
