6.  New member Doug Kerr hails from a beach town in New Jersey where he spent summers as a lifeguard. He went to school at William and Mary, lived in Germany for a year doing sleep research, and received his PhD in clinical psychology in Denver. He moved to Seattle in 1980 to do research on juvenile delinquency prevention at UW, where he met Denise Lishner on his first day of work. For more than three decades he has had a private practice treating adolescents and families. Doug has a passion for dogs, music, reading about history, and spending time with friends in nature.
