  5. Do you have a sturdy armless chair you’ve wanted to get rid of? Linda Mason could use it. Let me know.

Our Board of Directors said goodbye last evening to Bob Anderson and Julie Anderson at the lovely home of Vicky Downs. Bob and Julie will spend the next several months in CA; then travel abroad, returning in the spring to take up their Wider Horizons membership with gusto. Those pictured, counterclockwise from 6 pm: Barbara Oswald, Denise Lishner, Val Costa, Debbie Ward, hostess Vicky Downs, Jeanne Marie Thomas, Audrey Hansen, Denise Klein, Julie Anderson, Bob Anderson, Ann Lawrence (President Emeritus), and Nancy Robb. Nancy Hooyman, Board Chair, took the photo and Susan Adler arrived later. John Rochford and his husband Nick Utzinger also attended. Joe Garcia was not able to attend. Another guest of honor was Bob’s support animal, Kermit the Frog. We announced the formation of the Bob and Julie Member Support Fund, established in Bob’s honor by Suzanne Hittman. Let me know if you want to direct your annual contribution to this fund.

7. Look for your holiday party dance card in an email later today. Festivities begin next week. And save Sunday, January 28, 3-7 pm for our winter party. Venue to be determined.

8. Our newest tech volunteer is Beth Woodworth. Beth is new to the Seattle area, having moved here from California in July. She works at the Northwest Kidney Centers. Beth says, “I love to meet new people, cook, dance, and ride my road bike.” See the attached new Member Directory for how to contact her.
