Wider Horizons Events and Information

  1. Postcarding to Swing States on Tuesday, August 5, 10:30 am. All scribes are welcome, all materials supplied. Oxbow Bakery, 2307 24th Ave East, side streets for parking. Our last postcarding event will be September 24.

  2. Michael Kischner looks forward to conversing with men at Men’s Coffee on Wednesday, August 7, 10:30 am. Meet up at Victrola on 15th Ave. East. Let Michael know if you need a ride.

  3. Deirdre Cochran hosts Women’s Coffee on Wednesday, August 7, 10:30 am, slip N, 2031 Fairview E, between Boston and Newton. Outside on the roof deck which is up two flights of stairs so bring a hat, sunglasses, and a jacket in case of wind. Parking is tight so give yourself time to find a space. Door unlocked; come in and up the stairs. If you have not already RSVPd, be sure to check if there is room for you because her deck can hold only 20 people: deirdre122@gmail.com

  4. Thursday morning’s All-Member Zoom is happening, per usual, this Thursday, August 8, at 9:30 am. Sue Lerner will send out the link and questions on Wednesday.

  5. Sunday Arboretum Walk, August 11, led by Dick Zerbe. Meet at 9 am at the Graham Visitors Center.

  6. Reminder that our all-member picnic is at 3 pm on Sunday, September 15 at Meridian Park in Wallingford. Planning by Patti Gorman (Party Patti), Ann Lawrence, and Nora Langan is underway…food, games, and more! Stay tuned. Send me your suggestions.
