  6. Storytelling! Our last session for the year will be on Thursday, March 20 at 4 pm. This message from our convener Debbie Ward: We had 30 or so people at the WH Story Telling this past Thursday. The theme of "When I first came to this country" was interpreted in a huge variety of ways with stories that were humorous, moving, and inspiring. I even learned how to pronounce Wolfgang's last name. For March, Susan Jamison suggested this theme:  "My _____ was such a character!" Fill in the blank with mother, father, teacher, boss, colleague, aunt, etc. Of course, we are eager to hear your story even if it doesn’t fit into this theme. Please be in touch with me or Denise if you think you have a story to tell. I am happy to help you refine your story if you would like me to.

Sharing

  1. One of our friends has two senior, extremely human-affectionate cats they need to re-home due to travel plans. The cats would be incredibly happy in a senior's home where they'd get lots of affection and cuddle time. They do not need to re-homed together, as they are more connected to their humans than to each other. If you know of a potential loving home for one or both of them, please contact Jeff Sprung at jeff@jeffsprung.com.

  2. A thought for Black History Month from Joan Bergman: I'm finally getting around to share this with you before Black History Month ends: The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members, a heart of grace, and a soul generated by love. Coretta Scott King

  3. From Rick Grossman on addressing science misinformation (attached).
