Join Debbie Ward who’ll moderate our storytellers for a stimulating session this Thursday, November 21, at 4 pm on Zoom: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/82884749836?pwd=ArC6Uv1ON8gcshUTyapZ1EHdtajxVf.1 This is one of the best ways we get to know each other—by listening to each other’s stories.
Sunday Arboretum Walk, November 24, led by Dick Zerbe. Meet at 9 am at the Graham Visitors Center.
I’m still soliciting holiday events you may want to host…until this Friday when I’ll compile the choices in a wide-ranging menu that I’ll be sharing with you. Events will take place mainly between December 15 and January 2.
See the attached photo of members Joan Bergman and Sue Lerner (left and right; Wellspring staff in the middle) delivering hats and blankets to Wellspring Family Services. This marks the end of a 7-year connection between Wider Horizons and Wellspring and the disbanding the current fiber arts group. If you are interested in fiber arts and want to get together with others who also are, let me know.

Here’s a link to a wonderful presentation on the UW Retiree Association’s site. It covers pretty much everything you would want to know about residential long term care options: Microsoft PowerPoint - UWRAFeb2023-AWL04.pptx
I’m going to hear Wolfgang Kluge sing with the Seattle Peace Chorus this coming Sunday, November 24. Think about joining me. You can buy a ticket ($20) here: https://seattlepeacechorus.org/
Debbie Ward recommends her in-home PT Freyja Touchette, 206-261-1537. She does not take insurance but will provide a bill with all the essential information so one can submit to insurance (including Medicare). If the need for PT is a result of a car accident, she will take that insurance payment. Freye is a natural healer with a PhD in PT. She has also taken numerous other trainings and therefore has a wide range of therapeutic approaches including Limbic system massage to reduce ankle swelling. I recommend her as the best and most effective PT I have worked with.
